Springtime, Reversed

“Autumn is springtime in reverse.” - Terri Guillemets

It is bananas that I ran across that quote today because I have been thinking quite a a bit about the November Pocket Angels and how each month’s batch have a feel of their own. They have different community vibes. Whereas the October angels were fun and funny, rebellious and mischievous, the November dolls are a bit more sturdy, serious, but also they change. A LOT. It’s like they are “opposite day” angels. Springtime reversed. They have been assigned a job and then somehow that job manifests in reverse! So if you have found yourself in a loop, repeating old patterns, or if you are looking for unconventional ways to go about things, these pocket babies are for you. I even started illustrating them eating some of my favorite unusual food combos… which, I mean, if you have not TRIED a peanut butter and iceberg lettuce sandwich on white bread, you really are missing out.

Coffee Häagen Dazs with boysenberry sorbet, PB and lettuce, spaghetti and sour cream …

Springtime reversed is bringing in lots of other new things. Ironic, right? November. Birthing season? That’s mixed up. I am just going to trust it! I am launching two new things: The Elders and The Selenites. The Elders are ceramic dolls that simply hold protective space and The Selenites are made from paper and wax. They range from 7” tall to 12” tall and are designed with the purpose of clearing energy. They hold it all, light and shadow and they are excellent for clearing the energy of your Pocket Angels. Simply put your Pocket Angels next to a Selenite and they will be restored overnight. This is also useful for renaming your Pocket Angel or assigning them a new job. If you Pocket Angel is transforming, disintegrating, or at the end of his physical life, lay it next to the Selenite before you say goodbye. My wee little hands have never been busier and I am having so much fun using my imagination for good. I expect these to all move very quickly so mark your calendars for 8AM central time to get your pick of the litter.

If you don’t feel like waiting there are a couple of cool things already in the shop. Six lonely October Pocket Angels still need a home. They are patiently awaiting their rightful owner. Are you the kind of person who sees one lonely green bean left in the bowl at the end of a family dinner and you think, “Oh my gosh that is so sad. That poor bean didn’t fulfill its destiny!” and so you eat that bean even if you don’t want to? That’ how I feel about the remaining six. I trust though that someone will help them find their purpose.

There are also original drawings, 5” x 7” illustrated prints, the POCKET ANGEL of THE MONTH CLUB (which is SO cool and so much fun … I love intuitively selecting angels from the pile that no one else ever gets to see and then putting them in their pink envelopes and shipping them to you just like Flat Stanley). Mystery boxes are also live on the shop and come in two sizes. They might contain pocket angels, stickers, prints, ceramics, other little lucky handmade totems …. it’s a SURPRISE! Just tonight someone emailed me photos of them unwrapping their mystery box and it was so cool to see it all laid out on the backend of things. From me to you with love and hope and anticipation … I am madly in love with the the idea of being a magnet to joy. I hope its contagious.

Enjoy your Spring reversed. I hope you find magic in the unexpected and that you continue to play, to pretend, and to find the inner child inside that still believes in fairies.
